WHO IS IT FOR?

Athletes of all levels are welcome to join Open House.

Whether you are preparing for your first marathon, an Ironman, an ultra, preparing for AFL pre-season, or chasing an Olympic dream, Open House offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in a focused block of training.

Coaches and training groups are also encouraged to attend, using Nelse as the perfect base for their own camps and squad experiences.

Open House will be a supportive, inclusive and high energy environment. For all guests – all we ask is you bring the energy that helps everyone level up.

WHY TRAIN AT ALTITUDE?

For decades, the world’s best endurance athletes have used altitude training to prepare for major events.

NUTRITION

Open House is a fully catered experience.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet style by our in-house chef, with menus designed to support training and recovery demands.

Eat the same performance-oriented meals trusted by our Olympic and professional teams and remove the stress of shopping, cooking and meal preparation.

Simply focus on your training.

A juice and coffee bar will also be available throughout the day, offering smoothies, juices and hydration products (juice and coffee bar items are available for purchase, not included).

LEARN FROM THE BEST

Throughout the two-week period, optional sessions will be delivered by leading voices in high-performance sport.

Topics may include:

  • Sleep and recovery
  • Altitude training
  • Training load and injury prevention
  • High-performance mindset
  • Nutrition and fuelling strategies sessions are entirely optional and designed to complement your own training schedule.

*Sessions are spread across the two-week period, meaning shorter-stay guests may not be able to attend every session.*

FAQs

Do you have other dates for Open House?

We will be announcing more dates for 2027 shortly, but this will be the only block in 2026.

Open house has set 5, 7 and 14 day packages available. These are fairly set, but if you have specific requests, please email us at info@nelsefallscreek.com.au and we will see if we can accommodate.

No, Open House is not a guided training camp.

Apart from set meal times, you are completely free to train as you choose. If you are new to Falls Creek, our team can of course point you in the direction of some of the iconic runs, rides and hikes in the area.

Falls Creek is a four and half hour drive from Melbourne, 7 hour drive from Sydney, or a 100 minute drive from Albury Airport. Ample parking is available, and should you wish to get an airport transfer from Albury Airport we can do so at a cost of $110 each way.

Check in is at 2pm, and checkout at 10am. On arrival and departure days you can access the common areas of the lodge outside of those times and we can also store your bags.

Yes, let us know ahead of time your requirements and our team will ensure you are looked after.

Open House is only for those over 18. Please stay tuned for upcoming camps aimed at those under the age of 18.

Yes, you can. We will allocate you with another guest who has also selected the twin share option. If you are booking twin share and want to be allocated with a friend who has also booked this option, please let us know.

For 7 and 14 night stays, rooms will be serviced once and twice respectively. 5 night stays will not receive a room cleaning but fresh towels and linen are available upon request.

Nelse is set up with many common areas and private areas should you wish to to do study or work in between sessions – with hi speed WiFi. There is also a pickleball and basketball court on-site, plus of course incredibly beautiful places to explore in and around Falls Creek.

A 50%, non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. The balance is payable 30 days prior to your stay. Full T&Cs are available here.
